My Five Favorite Places To Read And Strategies To Use Them
Reading can become boring if you are sitting in the same place repeatedly, irrespective of the text.
To Cure this problem, I have written about my favorite five places with strategies.
My 5 Favorite places are
Clock at home
When I am at home, I change my position every hour.
Strategy 1: Change your position after every hour. After every hour. Link your hand together and stretch them above your head. It will give you a mental boost and gear to up for the next hour.
Library
I prefer going to the library which is near to my home. It provides a distraction-free environment that is calming.
Strategy 2: Try visiting a library now and then. It will refresh you
Read with friends
I am a part of the reading club. We always try to assemble once a week to read and discuss our previous readings.
Strategy 3: Join a reading club. It will help you mingle within a similar crowd.
Happy place
My Happy place is a Park. It is within walking distance from my home. I love to read there. I only visit it once or twice a month, so it remains memorable.
Strategy 4: Find a place that makes you happy. It should be peaceful. Visit that place once or twice a month for an excellent read.
Make an event out of the worst tasks
When I am stuck reading a book (I want to read it, but not now)
I treat myself by going to a coffee in a reading café. I know the idea is old. It still works when we do not like the book but cannot help leaving it in the middle.
Strategy 5: Go out of your way to find a place to read. So, when you finish your book. It will feel magical.
Conclusion
Alternating between your favorite places will help you in retaining. You will not get bored. You will be able to concentrate effortlessly. It helps to make reading an experience rather than a chore.
